Tutorial for Application Compatibility Configuration
Introduction:
During your usage of OpenFDE, you may encounter some compatibility display issues with certain applications, such as incomplete fullscreen display, restricted screenshot and screen recording, and limited application window functionality. This document aims to provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to resolve these application compatibility issues through application compatibility configuration.
Fixing Incomplete Display of Icons within Applications
This compatibility configuration option primarily addresses the issue where certain applications have buttons or icons that are not fully visible due to the presence of the title bar within specific pages. For example, this tutorial focuses on resolving the problem of incomplete display on the editing page of the "Jianying" application and Tencent Meeting.
Fixing Incomplete Display on the Editing Page of Jianying
Configuration Steps:
Locate the "Jianying" application in the taskbar and right-click on it to open the context menu. Then, click on "Compatibility Configuration."
After the Compatibility Settings page opens, click on "Fix Icon Display within the Application."
After enabling the "Fix Icon Display within the Application" toggle, click on "OK" to confirm.
After enabling this compatibility configuration option, the issue of incomplete icon display on Tencent Meeting will be resolved. Please refer to the following image:

The configuration steps for fixing the incomplete icon display within the application are similar to those for Jianying.

Fixing the Issue of Unable to Launch Happy Elimination in Free Window Mode
When certain gaming applications fail to launch properly in free window mode, you can try enabling this configuration option. For example, this tutorial focuses on resolving the issue of Happy Elimination not launching in free window mode.

Configuration Steps:
Open the Settings application and navigate to Developer Options. Locate the "Force activities to be resizable" option and disable it. Restart the Happy Elimination application. Once restarted, enable the "Force activities to be resizable" option again.
Locate the Happy Elimination application in the taskbar and right-click on it to open the context menu. Then, click on "Compatibility Configuration."
After the Compatibility Settings page pops up, click on "Fix Application Window Maximized."
After enabling the "Fix Application Window Maximized" toggle, click on "OK" to confirm.
After restarting Happy Elimination, its window will remain fixed in maximized display and will no longer switch to small window mode, resolving the issue of being unable to launch. Please refer to the following image.
Removing Screenshot and Screen Recording Restrictions
Some applications intentionally restrict users from taking screenshots and recording the screen in certain interfaces. To enhance user convenience and enable screenshot and screen recording in special pages, this compatibility configuration option has been added.
Removing Screenshot Restrictions on the JingDong App Login Interface
Configuration Steps:
Locate the JingDong application in the taskbar and right-click on it to open the context menu. Then, click on "Compatibility Configuration."
After the Compatibility Settings page pops up, click on "Remove Screenshot and Screen Recording Restrictions."
After enabling the "Remove Screenshot and Screen Recording Restrictions" toggle, click on "OK" to confirm.
After restarting the JingDong app, you will be able to capture screenshots and record the screen on its login page.
App Virtual Resolution
This compatibility configuration option is used to modify the logical width and height of the display to resolve functionality limitations in certain applications caused by resolution issues.
Fixing the issue of Microsoft Word application being unable to create new Word documents consistently at 1920*1080 resolution.
Configuration Steps:
Locate the Microsoft Word application in the taskbar and right-click on it to open the context menu. Then, click on "Compatibility Configuration."
After the Compatibility Settings page pops up, click on "App Virtual Resolution.
Select (800,600), and click on "OK" to confirm.
After restarting the Microsoft Word application, you will be able to create new Word documents.
App Window Minimum Width/Height
This compatibility configuration refers to the ability to adjust the minimum width and height of an application's window by dragging the window's edge when it is in a small window mode. It resolves display issues that occur when certain applications have a window size that is too small.
Fixing the issue of Tencent Meeting window limitations causing incomplete display of the toolbar
For example, when the width of the Tencent Meeting window is less than 540 and the height is less than 582, the toolbar at the bottom of the meeting window cannot be fully displayed. Please refer to the following image.
Configuration Steps:
Locate the Tencent Meeting application in the taskbar and right-click on it to open the context menu. Then, click on "Compatibility Configuration."
After the Compatibility Settings page pops up, click on "App Window Minimum Width" and "App Window Minimum Height" respectively to configure the settings.
Set the App Window Minimum Width, manually enter the value 600, and click on "OK" to confirm.
Set the App Window Minimum Height, manually enter the value 600, and click on "OK" to confirm.
After modifying the Tencent Meeting window's minimum adjustable size to 600/600, the toolbar at the bottom of the meeting interface can be displayed properly. Please refer to the following image.
