OpenFDE Folder Integration Tutorial for Android and Linux

This article will introduce the structure of the OpenFDE file manager in detail, and explain how to access the files of the file system after the folders of the Android file system and the Linux file system are merged.

OpenFDE file manager structure description

Users can open OpenFDE's file manager in the Start Menu-File. The main structure of the file manager includes: "Home Directory", "Linux Home Directory", and "File System". The complete interface is shown in the figure below.

The file display page on the right "filters" and displays files according to the file type. For example, select "Picture" to display all picture files.

The home directory in Linux

The home directory in Linux refers to the personal home directory of the Linux file system, that is, the "/home/username" directory.

It maps to the personal directory on the Linux side, and here we take the Kylin operating system as an example.

File System

This section shows all the file systems that have been mounted in OpenFDE. As shown in the figure below, OpenFDE has currently mounted the Linux file system.

How to use the file intercommunication between Android and Linux file systems

After the Android system main directory and the Linux file system main directory are merged, all document files, image files, video files, audio files, and download files of the entire OpenFDE file system can be seen in both the Android and Linux main directories. Files can be added, accessed, modified, and updated in an interoperable manner in the two main directories.

Audio files and downloaded files can also be accessed, added, edited, modified, and updated interchangeably between the Android main directory and the Linux main directory.
