Full UI upgrade

The UI has been completely upgraded, including comprehensive improvements to the user interface (UI), especially the taskbar, notification bar and menu bar, to provide a more intuitive, beautiful and efficient interface design. Details of the update are as follows.

Taskbar Improvement

We have completely upgraded the taskbar from a full black design to a semi-transparent design, making the overall UI style more concise. Show the opened apps in the taskbar at the bottom.

Right-click on any application icon to open, minimize and close the window of the application.

  • For applications that have been opened on the desktop: right-click to minimize the application icon to the taskbar; click "Close Window" to close the application.

  • For the minimized window in the taskbar: "Settings" in the figure below, right-click "Open" to quickly open the settings on the desktop; click "Close Window" to close the application. Click "Close Window" to close the application.

Notification and status bar optimization

We optimized the status bar icon at the bottom right of the screen for clarity.

The status bar shows in order: network settings, volume management, battery management, control center, notification center, current date and time.

Network Settings

Click on the WIFI icon and the network settings window will pop up. If your computer does not have a network card device, it does not support wireless network operation. You can choose to go to More Network Settings for wired network settings.

Volume Management

Click Volume Management to bring up the volume adjustment bar, which supports free volume adjustment.

Battery Management

Click Battery Management to bring up the Battery Information pop-up window, you can view the current charging status of the device, you can also set your own "power saving and performance" related to the status.

Control Center

The Control Center includes shortcuts to all configurations in the status bar, including Wi-Fi, Screenshots, Screen Recording, Power Saving Mode, Settings, Volume Adjustment, and Screen Brightness Adjustment.

Notification Center

Clicking on Notification Management brings up a message notification window showing the specific notification; when a new message is notified, it is indicated by a red dot.

he new menu bar provides a clearer layout and the app layout is more intuitive and easy to navigate. Click the icon at the bottom left corner to bring up the application menu window. Embedded "Settings" and "Power On/Off" function keys in the left sidebar.

Bookmarking and Unbookmarking Applications

Right-click and select a specific application to bookmark it to the Quick Launch window on the right-hand side. For already bookmarked applications, you can also click "Unbookmark" to remove them.

New Shortcut for Input Method Switching

The original English input method of AOSP is retained, click Settings - System - Language and Input Method - Language - Add Language, and select "English" to add.

After adding the language, the AOSP English input method will be automatically activated, and you can see that the system already exists in the on-screen keyboard iFLYTEK input method and Android keyboard (AOSP English input method).

After configuring the two input methods, you can use the Ctrl+Space shortcut key combination to switch the input method. Especially for scenarios where you need to enter a password on the terminal in a converged application, you can directly use the shortcut key to switch to the English input method.

Optimized CPU usage of the graphics display process, significantly enhancing overall system performance.

Remove screenshot recording restrictions

Remove the restrictions on screenshots and screen recording in some apps.

Apply the minimum width and height limits of the window

To ensure that the app displays properly, limit the minimum width and height of the app window. For example, the minimum width of a Tencent Meeting window cannot be less than 600.

Update Device Name

In "Settings -> About Device," the device name has been changed to "OpenFDE arm64 device" and the device names of previous historical versions will also be automatically synchronized and updated.、

Fixed Problems

  • Fixed the issue where the image dimensions were displayed as 0 after editing images in the gallery and then viewing image details in the file manager.

  • Fixed the problem where the JD app did not respond to the F11 key.

  • Resolved the lagging and screen flickering issues during screen sharing in Tencent Meeting.

  • Fixed the occasional inconsistency in hiding and showing corresponding app windows when clicking on icons on the taskbar.

  • Fixed the issue that some apps were not displayed in full screen, and the internal icons were not fully displayed.

  • Fixed an issue where game apps could not be displayed and operated in non-full-screen mode.

  • Fixed the issue that some functions of some apps could not be used normally at the current resolution.

Solve the problem of 'only tablet login is displayed when logging in to WeChat'

The current v1.1.0 version may have a prompt of "only display tablet login" when logging in to WeChat, here we provide a temporary solution, we will fix this problem in the next version. Here's how to solve the problem:

Add the following two lines to the /var/lib/waydroid/waydroid_base.prop file

ro.product.model=Pixel 5 ro.product.brand=google

Then restart OpenFDE and clean up the WeChat cache.
