v1.3.1
New Features
Support for App Store's silent update feature for applications
When there are multiple apps pending updates in the App Store, users only need to manually click "Update All" once, and the system will automatically display a notification informing the user that the apps are being installed, without requiring any further actions from the user.
Optimization
Support for OpenFDE to automatically launch virtual desktops and desktop navigation
When users launch OpenFDE through an application shortcut, the system will automatically initiate the desktop navigation tool, launching OpenFDE into the next available virtual desktop after the current one. Users no longer need to manually switch desktops, simplifying the application launch process in a multi-desktop environment.
When OpenFDE starts:
After successful startup, the system automatically places OpenFDE into the next available empty virtual desktop area of the current desktop.
You can smoothly switch to different workspaces using the navigation tool on the desktop. The floating transparent left and right arrows in the picture below are the navigation tools. Users can freely drag these navigation tools to any height on the desktop. During use, the navigation tool will automatically hide.
New Parallel View feature added
This version update introduces the Parallel View feature, enhancing the convenience of multi-window operations in applications. Currently, this feature is only available for some apps, allowing users to view and operate two windows simultaneously without frequently needing to return or reload pages.
The currently compatible apps include: JingDong, Toutiao, Zhihu, Weibo, MoJi Weather, Kuaishou, Ctrip, Qunar, and WeChat. The Parallel View effects for some of these apps are as follows. Users can minimize or close the sub-window by clicking the "Minimize" or "Close" buttons on the sub-window.
Additionally, users can choose whether to enable the Parallel View feature in the compatibility settings. Taking the "Weibo" app as an example, when you open the compatibility settings from the Start menu, you can find the toggle for the Parallel View feature.
Attention, please! If you encounter the following situation when logging in with WeChat:
There are two solutions:
Click the close button on the blank main window to close it, and then you can log in normally.
Go to the Start menu and temporarily disable the Parallel View feature in WeChat's compatibility settings. After logging in normally, you can choose to turn it back on.
Optimization
The status bar now features a new input method switching button
A new "Language Bar" has been added to the status bar, displaying the current input method status, allowing users to switch between input methods directly from this status button.
Optimize mouse movement response speed
In this update, the response speed of mouse movement has been optimized. Specifically, when launching OpenFDE in application mode, the latency in the virtual desktop mode has been reduced, making user operations more rapid and precise.
The gallery supports English language adaptation.
When the system language is set to English, the Gallery app also supports display in English.
Fixed Problems
Fixed the issue where some notifications could not be turned off.
Fixed the issue where pop-up windows in the launch screen of some apps exceed the main window of the app.
Tips: If the consent button on the home login screen exceeds the size of the app's main window, you can configure it through the compatibility framework to enable "Restrict the size of in-app windows." This will prevent in-app windows from extending beyond the main app window.
Fixed the issue in the file manager where sharing can directly send single or multiple images or files to WeChat.
Fixed the issue where gnome-terminal would not start properly.
